Robert Allen Daughtry, was the son of Robert Daughtry and Mary Woods. He was born on September 14,1983 in Philadelphia Pa. On Saturday, April 2, 2011, Robert receieved his Eternal Rest. As a young child Allen enjoyed attending Deliverance Evangelistic Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. Benjamin Smith, Sr., with his aunt Darlene & his cousins.
He received his formal education in the Philadelphia Public School System, graduating from Martin Luther King High in 2001. Allen was an entrepreneur and author of three books. His greatest accomplishments were his 3 children, incorporating his company, the completion of his 1st book, along with being cast to play a lead role in the Gospel Play ''Clean Up Your Own Mess", and finally the opportunity to attend College to obtain his Business Degree.
Allen enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, writing His Own Novels, music, baseball, football, basketball, creative poetry and acting. He especially loved the weekends when he & his kids would always be together.
Allen leaves to cherish his memories: (3) children, Nakera, Allen, and Lani; his parents, Robert Daughtry and Mary Woods; 6 brothers, Tyree, Derrell, Kareem, Kyree, Martique, and Tiahgee; (1) sister, Dimonique; (2) grandparents, Claudia Douglas and Marie Davis; (4) aunts; (4) uncles; (2) special & unique friends, Nesi & Lakia; and a host of cousins and friends... You touched so many lives during your presents here on earth... You've lifted spirits, dried up tears, and brought joy and laughter to an ordinary day... And the countless favors you had done to reach out, a hand to anyone made you just that more of a Hero.. By spreading happiness in your own special way, and using up ink in hundreds of pens... You always manage to keep in touch with family, loved ones, and friends... And when it came to daily chores, you handle them with personal care... In you greeted holiday with lots of fun and flair, and on birthdays in anniversaries there was always a treat... Year after year never missing a beat, and the sounds of music filled the air... While you conquered goals that no one else would dare, so many fond memories you left behind... Not including your little ones who will continue to shine, each night my heavy hearts does cry... Never wishing i had to say goodbye, and on a Honorary shrine of cross... A picture, palm and a candle burns forever remembering Robert Allen Daughtry!! I.M.O (R.S.P)
